Description
Racing name: n/a Microchip: 956000011575833 Whelped: Dec 2020 Sex: female Colour: black Weight: 25.5kg Cat tolerant: possibly Available: NOW Lucy came to us after we were notified she was living in unsatisfactory conditions and no one else was able to take her in. Lucy is quite a petite girl with a BIG personality. She is still very much a puppy in her behaviour at times (she’s only 2yo), but for the majority of the time she is a typical sweet natured Greyhound. She arrived quite underweight but has now gained over 2kg & has a hearty appetite. She is a very smart little girl & learns most things quickly – she has even learnt to sit briskly on command (with treats) & is currently working on “drop”. Lucy walks well on lead & has become accustomed to traffic noises etc. She can be a bit nervous around unfamiliar dogs (tail tucked etc) but once she realizes they are not a danger to her she will relax & ignore them. Lucy has visited a home with a resident (confident) cat on a couple of occasions & has not shown interest, but she has not spent significant time around felines. Lucy will need a home with a safe grassed yard – she is still working on her toilet training & also loves a daily back yard “zoom”. Her ideal home would be with a couple or calm adult family (no kids under 16) who are home a fair bit of the time & can involve her with family activities. An interest in continuing her training would be great as she does best with mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. Two walks a day would be preferred. She is able to be crated & can also be left outside for short periods. |
