“Espen” is a Scandinavian name meaning “Bear” and this boy does think he’s a big cuddly teddy bear.
Espen has only recently retired from quite a successful racing career, but has taken to the comforts of home life like he’s been at it for years. He loves a soft, comfy dog bed – and if you’re not careful, he might try yours as well! Espen walks well on lead & thoroughly enjoys a car ride. He would best suit a home with adults only or a family with older children (12 years plus) where someone is home a fair bit of the time. He can be left for short periods outside but much prefers an indoor lifestyle. Like many dogs, he’s not a fan of thunderstorms, and needs to be kept inside in stormy weather. Espen would be great in a home with another Greyhound or may be fine as an only dog.
