Description
Racing name: Assumption Queen Microchip: 956000012219264 Whelped: April 2020 Sex: female Colour: black Weight: ~ 28kg Cat tolerant: not tested Available: NOW Queen has arrived! She is settling into foster care with two teenage boys and a ten year old Greyhound girl. She is super friendly and her velvety black coat is beautifully soft. In her first few days, she has mastered going up stairs, walking gently on the lead and proactively going out to the garden when nature calls. She also remained calm during the recent thunderstorms. Queen continues to improve at going down stairs, getting used to all the new sounds in a household, eating her dinner in a more lady-like manner and helping to load the dishwasher with a suitable level of enthusiasm. Queen is really just a gorgeous, young princess and she is showing great promise for pet life.
She is gaining confidence on her walks but can still be startled by unexpected sounds and movements. Therefore, she is safest walked by an adult, ideally with large dog experience. She is fascinated by everything and will sometimes pause to observe and take in all the new sights.
Queen is still very puppyish with her enthusiasm and playfulness, so sometimes she needs reminding that she is in a grown-up size greyhound body. She is doing really well during the weekdays while her foster family are at work and school. She has her older greyhound foster sister to keep her company and take her cues from. Queen is always thrilled when the humans arrive home and she celebrates with her own little jubilee. She also knows how to sleep like a grey, overnight and during the day. She is a keen roacher and loves a cuddly bed or blanket, plus she sometimes uses her soft toys for a pillow. She also likes to carry blankets from one dog bed to another.
Queen is a gorgeous girl. She can be a little reserved when meeting new people but once she is comfortable, she has a fun and friendly personality. |
