Description
Racing name: unnamed Want a dog that will greet you with a big wet kiss to start the day? Well, Count is your man! This big black puppy is goofy and affectionate. He loves meeting new people and other dogs, large or small, and walks beautifully on lead. He hasn’t shown much reaction to walking past the neighbourhood cats, but has not been formally assessed with felines. Count never raced because of a front leg injury towards the end of his growing phase. A knock to his right ulnar growth plate caused that bone to stop growing & has resulted in a slight (about 10 degree) angulation of his foot. It does not worry him in the slightest on his walks but excessive running should probably be avoided. He goes up and down stairs with ease. This happy boy would suit a couple or family with children 8 years plus, but needs to have company for a fair bit of the day. He is gaining in overall confidence and learning to be on his own in the yard for short periods, but like any self-respecting Greyhound, much prefers the comfort of the home! Count isn’t worried by thunder storms, but doesn’t particularly like loud noises from the TV – he will get up and remove himself from the room. He loves his grub and is certainly not a fussy eater. Count likes playing with soft toys, but his favourite thing is stealing cushions off the lounge and taking them to his bed. His foster carers describe him as obedient, hilarious at times and possessing a loving, affectionate nature. He has his new home, and a new name to go with it. He's now Pancho! |
